Mishka Spring 2010 Lookbook

“Trailblazing Through the City With Just a Pipe and a Guide” is the title of Mishka’s Spring 2010 collection. The lookbook has a nostalgic feel to it with vintage styled pictures surrounding their new collection. Mishka turns to New York City photographer, Marley Kate to capture the perfect shot. Read up on a more detailed description of the collection after the jump.

Trailblazing through the city with just a pipe and a guide hearken back to those carefree spring days spent roaming through the city streets with a pack of friends and no obligations. Talking art, music and dreams over $2 eggs and endless cups of coffee at diners, sneaking into shows, flirting with bartenders and staying out ’til 4am and waking back up at 6 to go to work and school only to do it all again.

Our Spring collection fondly remembers the days of being a defiant teenager, generations notwithstanding. We drudged up the nostalgia of being a snot-nosed-stubborn-badass that has been a hallmark trait of teenagers. So we dusted off our yearbooks, our parent’s yearbooks and even our grandparent’s yearbooks to find all the inspiration we needed for the spring collection.

Pieces like the Trail Blazer Quilted Vest and the Loose Nut Twill Jacket conjure fond memories of the durable and industrial clothing worn during high-school shop class; the Swarm windbreaker add a flare of form and function for those who spent their time in the school gymnasium. And if you happened to be the rebellious type that spent more time going to shows and partying than studying, there’s always a host of tees befitting of any anti-social predilections.
