Philadelphia based retailer Abakus will be celebrating their 4 year anniversary alongside a few familiar brands in 10Deep, Crooks & Castles, Award Tour and Mishka. The four shirts are scheduled to be released this Saturday and limited to only 50 pieces each. Expect to find classic branding and images with commemorative font and graphics. We recently stumbled upon Grovo, an interesting website that teaches through videos touching on a variety of subjects in a very easy to follow manner. However, they have also included a few videos from different influential personalities such as Greg Rivera, president of Mishka. Greg discusses a few different topics including the history of the brand, creating a web presence, their following, eCommerce and more. Mishka and Obey have teamed up to release a special edition Baseball Tee. The shirt combines Mishka’s unique designs and Obey’s signature logo to yield the graphic you see above. In addition, tour dates are printed on the back from the Engineered to Destroy Word Tour. The fictional tour would kickoff on May 21 in Boston and would run all the way through August. Mishka release a quick video previewing their upcoming collection for the Spring. The video features various East Coast hip hop artists including Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Lakutis, Das Racist, Venus X, and many more. The video, produced by Michael Cohn, shows many new pieces including jackets, caps, graphic tees, sweaters, pants, etc. Keep an eye out for the actual lookbook, which will be released soon.
Mishka has established itself as an up and coming streetwear brand with quite a large amount of potential. Here is a preview of their upcoming collection of snapbacks for the Spring. The collection features multiple caps including the Toga Party Snapback, Olde School Starter Snapback, Death Adders Varsity Starter Snapback, and Cyrillic Script Starter Snapback. Most of the caps come in various colorways including red, blue and black, grey and green, etc. A cap that stands out in the collection is the D.E.A.T.H.® Snapback, which features a D.A.R.E. style theme.
